Meet the Composer

Dolce Suono will perform Charles Abramovic's Laus D (A Haydn Tribute) for Flute, Cello, and Piano, and Benjamin C.S. Boyle's Sonata-Cantilena for Flute and Piano, along with works by Haydn and Barber. The works by composers Boyle and Abramovic will be performed alongside an exhibition of artworks created by Moore College student artists in response to the new works being performed. Moore College, founded in 1848, is the USA's first and only women's art college. The artworks on display will cover a wide range of media including painting, sculpture, fashion, textiles, and illustration. A conversation component will feature the composers, performers, and visual artists in a public discussion about the project. The audience will be invited to participate and engage directly with all of the artists involved.
